Bachorlorette Finale 2/28/05

On Monday February 28 I watched the final rose ceremony for the Bachelorette what a waste of three hours. I was really into the show and I would try to watch it almost every week. I think I tuned in for several reasons…. First Jen Schefft is an alumni of my sorority Alpha Xi Delta in Ohio State and secondly I could not imagine someone putting themselves through the horrible of a reality television twice. The shows were funny and they did keep me entertained till the final episode. Jen was deciding between two men Jerry and Jon Paul. I was clearly rooting for Jerry because I loved him from the beginning. During the first long hour of the show each man had their last date with Jen trying desperately to convince her to pick them. Then each guy went and picked out an engagement ring for her and both prepare to ask her to marry them. During the second hour Jon Paul proposes to Jen and she kindly declines. It was really kind of sad. I truly believed that he loved her but deep down inside I was excited that she had finally chosen Jerry. Or so we thought. Well, after a million commercials the show comes back live where they show Jerry asking Jen for her hand in marry and then they cut to them live in the studio. They explain how three months have past and that Jen wanted to be sure that Jerry was right for her. He them pops the question again and she processed to say NO!!! I was shocked…. It was completely unexpected. This girl has been asked to marry three different men and has not found happiness with any of them. To make a long story short the three hour long show was a waste of time. It was made me doubt watching another episode of a reality dating show again.

I agree with you - the ending of the show was really disappointing. I was rooting for John Paul, but I was still pretty upset that her and Jerry didn't stay together. I heard that this season's Bachelor may be the last of the Bachelor/Bachelorette shows since they 1. aren't working and 2. don't get enough of an audience.
